Boat tour of Lake Como

We rented a little runabout boat yesterday and took a tour of the lake. The rental lady sold us a map that showed the various mansions and other grand sights around the lake, and we cruised up one side and down the other for about three hours. It was heartbreakingly beautiful. The air was just warm enough to be comfortable even in the breeze from the speeding boat. In fact, I've come to feel that this may be the most beautiful place on the planet. It has certainly captured my heart.

I think all my friends should look through the pictures on this slide show, and vote on the one we should all throw in together on and buy it. It has to be big enough for all of us, but I know we'll have a great time here. We could have some of the local chefs teach us how to cook the local fare. I had a beautifully prepared trout from the lake for lunch the day before yesterday, so I know it has good fish. If we got tired of cooking, we could take our speed boat to any one of a hundred restaurants that line the shore of this beautiful lake, and we could eat real Italian food prepared with local fresh ingredients. Can you smell it? For exercise, we could swim in the lake..swimming is supposed to be one of the very best forms of exercise.

One of the mansions is owned by Mr. George Clooney, and he is reputed to throw parties all the time, and invite his celebrity friends, Brad Pitt, ..and even some of my friends have been invited. Maybe if we all lived here, he would invite us too? Wouldn't that be fun? See if you can guess which one is his (Hint: It's not the most posh..but it's pretty darn nice.)
