Our stay on a 1800's canal boat

We had a nice stay in Amsterdam, and got to experience life as a local on the canal boat. The boat was located on the north side of the city across the river, so we took the ferry to town whenever we wanted to go (except for on our tour of the Anne Frank house, because it started before the ferry started, so we took an Uber ride into town on that day). The ferry's in Amsterdam are free to ride, so we could come and go as often as we wanted. It was about a 20 minute walk from our houseboat to the ferry terminal, and about a 10 minute ride on the ferry to the town center.

The spiders had some massive webs between the boat and the dock.

The floor were worn in some places and the bathroom was kind of tiny. The bedrooms were sandwiched into the bow and stern areas. The galley was also pretty small. It was fun for a change, but we wouldn't want to live there long term...except for Ellie who was fine because the wifi was fast.
