I arrived at Royal Troon in the morning, and walked across the 18th fairway..hallowed ground for a golfer. Another man was trying to take a selfie and I offered to take his picture if he would do the same for me..but he put his thumb on the lens, so I had to crop it way down..then I took a selfie just to be sure I had a good one!

I was able to follow the threesome consisting of Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose, and Shane Lowry. Cameras are not permitted on the golf course, so I was limited to my cell phone, and they are very strict about not taking pictures of the golfers while they are getting ready or hitting the ball But I managed to sneak in a few pictures and, since my shutter is silent, I didn't disturb anyone.

Here, Jordan Spieth sets up to drive number 7

This is Lowry, Spieth, and Rose on the 7th tee.

Spieth hits his approach.

Rose just misses a putt, Lowry looks away.

Phil Mickelson, walking up 18, came within millimeters of setting a historical record for low round on this hole, and I got to see it!

Rickie Fowler on the 17th green.

Phil Mickelson walking up 18 sees he has a chance to set a historical record for low round in a major.

Tony Finau, a Utah man, putts on 17. He was tied for 3rd place after the first round.

My swag!

Spieth putts number 3.

I am getting the stinkeye from Spieth's caddy for taking this picture..but it was on silent, and didn't disturb the golfer. He parred the hole.

The bunkers on the 17th.

Jason Day on the practice green. He didn't have a great day!
