Scotland is . . . well, green!

Scotland is nothing if not green. "Green" will be the first thought I have about Scotland when I think of our time here. As John said in a previous post, "If green is a healing color, all of Scotland should be well." Scotland is green, of course, because of all the rain. And rain it does. It rains, and rains, and rains. But when you look over the fields that roll on and on in various shades of green, or the rock fences covered with moss that separate pastures, or the mountains that look like green velvet because of the solid masses of ferns that cover them, or the green hills frosted with hints of mist, always, then you can forgive the rain a little bit. Below are pictures taken with my phone. They are not great photographs, but are some of my favorite memories of the Scottish Highlands.
