Opera, anyone?

We were strolling down La Rambla, and came across the opera house. Just our luck, the English tour was just about to depart, so we spent the next 20 minutes or so finding out all we could about the Barcelona Opera House, or as they call it here The Gran Teatre del Liceu. It is quite beautiful. The next opera doesn't start until after we leave, but one of my goals will be to have us attend an opera while we are in Europe...perhaps in Vienna in October. The opera house holds a little over 2300 patrons at a time, and our tour guide said they are not all sold out, but Placido Domingo will be here for the April opera, one of Verdi's pieces. I'd really love to hear one of the great tenors sing.
