Where we stay

We used a number of sites to locate where we will stay. We used Airbnb for most of the locations. Here is our apartment in Paris.

We are on the 7th floor of the building to the right of the "restaurant" sign, about in the middle. The apartment is quaint. The floors in the bathroom and kitchen have been raised to allow for plumbing, which may not have been installed when the building was first built. Most of the buildings in Paris are made of stone and built to last for centuries. The elevator is only big enough to hold two people or one person and a suitcase. It makes me wonder how they managed to get beds in the apartment. The sofa is a futon and would have been able to fit in the elevator.

The caretaker is a lady from Portugal who was shy about her English..but it is much better than our French. She has been very friendly and outgoing. Our street is lined with shops, and we have frequented the grocer, the butcher, the baker, and the pharmacie. Here are some pictures:
